摘要
We reported two cases of M. fortuitum after augmentation mammaplasty. Although it is often difficult to discern the source of these organisms, as it was in these two cases, their presentation is unique. It is important for the surgeon to include M. fortuitum and M. chelonae complex in his or her differential diagnosis of postaugmentation mammaplasty infection or of any skin or soft-tissue infection after cosmetic surgery. Early recognition and appropriate treatment will help prevent unnecessary complications, additional cost, and disfigurement to the patient.
