Experimental application of partitioned model-based control to pH neutralization

摘要
A novel model-based nonlinear control strategy is demonstrated using an experimental pH neutralization process. The control strategy involves a partitioned model structure that consists of a linear ARX model and a nonlinear neural network model, in the context of internal model control (IMC). When integrated into the internal model control scheme, the resulting controller is shown to have favorable practical implications as well as superior performance when compared with a linear IMC controller.
