Influence of spin polarized Pt on the extraordinary Hall effect in sputtered Pt/Au/Co/Pt sandwiches

摘要
Magnetization, magneto-optical Kerr effect and Hall effect have been measured on sputtered Pt/Au/Co/Pt/SiO(2)/Si samples with Co thickness t(Co) = 0.7 nm and t(Au) thickness t(Au) up to 1 nm. In the temperature range 50-300 K the extraordinary Hail effect displays a standard (a rho + b rho(2)) behavior versus the resistivity rho, with a dominant contribution of the first "skew scattering-like" term. The second "side jump-like" term changes sign with increasing t(Au), which could be related to the progressive change of the upper interface, from a complex interdiffused Pt/Co interface to an Au/Co one.
