From pure superparamagnetism to glass collective state in γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticle assemblies

摘要
AC susceptibility (5-10(4) Hz) and Mossbauer spectroscopy studies of gamma-Fe2O3 4.7 nm particle assemblies with interparticle interactions of varying strength reveal three magnetic regimes: pure superparamagnetic, superparamagnetic modified by interactions, and collective. The properties of the last one, called glass collective state, are close to those of spin glasses showing a phase transition. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
