Preparation and molecular structures of FcCCI and {Co2(CO)6}2(μ:μ-FcC2C2Fc) [Fc = ferrocenyl, (η-C5H4)Fe(η-C5H5)]

摘要
Iodination of FcC=CH with morpholinium iodide gave structurally characterized iodoethynylferrocene, FcC=CI; its reaction with Co-2(CO)(8) affords {Co-2(CO)(6)}(2)(mu:mu-FcC(2)C(2)Fc), also characterized by an X-ray structure determination. This compound is formed by deiodinative coupling of the iodoalkyne and subsequent addition of a Co-2(CO)(6) group to each C=C triple bond in the resulting diyne.
