Thermal conductivity/diffusivity measurements of vapour grown carbon fibre composites

摘要
Thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity of polymer based composites of vapour grown carbon fibres were measured by the photothermal beam deflection technique and by a conventional method. Results obtained by the two techniques are in moderate agreement. The conductivity increases with increasing fibre content, but the effect of the fibres depends on the nature of the matrix.
