A versatile solution phase synthesis for the preparation of 1,2-phenethyldiamines has been developed for the purpose or producing lead generation libraries. A facile strategy for the parallel purification of products provides high purity products suitable for SAR evaluation in high-throughput screening assays. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd.
