摘要
Erythema migrans (EM) is the classical cutaneous manifestation of Lyme disease, occurring in about 80% of patients. It is important to understand its classical and atypical manifestations so as not to miss the diagnosis in these early cases of Lyme disease. In most cases, history and physical examination are all that are required to establish the diagnosis. EM is readily treatable with three weeks of a variety of antibiotics. Most patients who are successfully diagnosed early and treated in this fashion have excellent outcomes.
