Step-tunable (100 GHz) hybrid laser based on Vernier effect between Fabry-Perot cavity and sampled fibre Bragg grating

摘要
Frequency step-tunability is demonstrated in a hybrid fibre grating external cavity laser for the first time. This new configuration uses an in-fibre sampled Bragg grating as the frequency selective element which allows the: laser to be step-tuned by 100GHz from 1551.09 to 1556.66nm.
