摘要
Samples of commercially-treated down feathers from ducks and geese were tested whole in tension to determine their structural tensile elasticity and failure properties. Tensile tests were performed to failure. After each test, initial structural Young's modulus and stress and strain at failure were calculated. All tests were performed at ambient room temperature and humidity. Overall, significant results were obtained.
