摘要：

We report the existence of the new compound Ce2MgSi2, tetragonal Mo2FeB2-type in the Ce-Mg-Si ternary system. Both Ce2MgSi2 and the previously known CeMg2Si2 order magnetically at low temperatures. We also find that the Ether previously reported compounds CeMgSi and CeMg3Si do not exist.
