Properties of 2D He-3 on very thin He-4 films

We report measurements of the He-3 spin diffusion, magnetization, and NMR relaxation times for submonolayer, n(3) = 0.0064 Angstrom(-2) similar to 0.10 layer), He-3 impurities on thin He-4 films on Nuclepore. We find a mobility edge, a strong He-4 coverage dependence for the He-3 ground state energy, and the absence of an excited state for the He-3 for very low He-4 coverages. A similar to 10(3)-10(4) increase in the value of the diffusion coefficient occurs over a narrow (?)4He coverage range, 0.15 less than or equal to n(4) less than or equal to 0.23 Angstrom(-2), and a large Curie-like component is present in the magnetization for n(4) less than or equal to (0.20 Angstrom(-2).
