Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to provide a bird's eye overview of the special issue and its significance. Design/methodology/approach - The paper reviews relevant topics and provide perspective. Findings - Critical areas and future focus are identified in the paper. Practical implications - This work may stimulate future academic research and identify practical implementation challenges. Originality/value - The paper provides perspective and impetus for future research.
