Synthesis and characterization of lanthanum aluminate powder at relatively low temperature

摘要
Pure lanthanum aluminate (LaAlO3) powders were prepared by the evaporation of polyvinyl alcohol added to a mixed metal nitrate solution. Precursor powders and calcined powders were characterized by differential thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and infrared (IR) spectroscopy. The relative crystallite size ranges between 10 and 20 nm. Dielectric properties of this material are also measured.
