摘要
Selected porcelains, celadons and faiences, representative of the different production technologies used in the Asian, European and Islamic worlds, were studied by non-destructive macro- and micro- Raman spectroscopy, The Raman-based discrimination between soft- and hard-paste porcelains is very easy. Identification of many colouring phases specific to old artefact has been performed on the basis of a reference database we established. The technique appears well suited for analysis of white, green, yellow, blue, brown and red colours. it is efficient in spite of the small size, low crystallinity and low amount of the probed phases.
