摘要
Ni-Zn ferrites were fabricated through the self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) reaction, and the synthesis mechanism was studied. The effect of processing conditions, such as oxygen partial pressure and cold compacting pressure, on the formation of Ni-Zn ferrite spinel by combustion reaction was determined. The phase identification and microstructural observation were carried out by X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively, before and after the combustion reaction. The combustion reaction front propagated well through the specimen. Spinel peaks were observed after the combustion reaction in the X-ray spectra of the product.
