摘要：

Taxol, a tubulin binding diterpene originally isolated from the Pacific Yew (Taxus brevifolia Nutt.), has been discovered in the African Fern Pine, Podocarpus gracilior Pilger (Podocarpaceae). This is the first report of the occurrence of this compound in plants outside the Taxaceae family. The phylogenetic implications of this discovery are discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd.
