摘要
Nanosized paramagnetic tin-doped ferrite particles were produced through the precipitation exchange method. A solid phase reaction in solution causes the formation of tin ferrite nanoparticles. The particles structural and magnetic properties were determined from X-ray diffraction, magnetometer and Mossbauer spectroscopy measurements. The particles structure matched the bulk Fe3O4 inverse spinel-related phase. An average grain size of 4 nm was obtained for paramagnetic ferrite particles at room temperature. This is the largest size reported thus far for paramagnetic tin-doped ferrite particles. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
