By means of the backscattering IN10 spectrometer at the ILL (Grenoble), we have investigated the segmental dynamics of poly(vinyl methyl ether) (PVME) in a blend containing 65 wt% PVME and 35 wt%d-polystyrene. The quasielastic broadening of the spectra is apparent at T > 350 K and shows a strung dependence on the momentum transfer. The data are analyzed in the framework of the approaches commonly used to describe the blend dynamics in the macroscopic range. The results of this analysis are compared with the ones obtained by means of nuclear magnetic resonance and dielectric measurements.
