The case of an 11-year-old male with clinical features compatible with a diagnosis of Tourette's syndrome and neurofibromatosis type 1 is reported. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed bilateral pallidal hyperintensities, which may be related to the tic disorder. (C) 2000 by Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
