摘要
CO2 capture and reversible release was studied using mono-saccharides (n-Mannose,D-Xylose, n-Glucose and n-Fructose) in combination with an organic superbase (tetramethylguanidine - TMG). Different reactional parameters were tuned, such as usage and type of solvent, time of reaction, pressure of CO2 and use of excess of base. The best result was the conversion of 30.7% of the OH groups into carbonate corresponding to 5.0 wt.% of CO2 uptake. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
