Dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Pb[(Zn1/3Nb2/3)0.91Ti0.09]O3 single crystal grown by solution Bridgman method

摘要
Single crystals of Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O-3-PbTiO3 with 9 mol% PbTiO3 (PZN-PT 91/9) were grown by the Solution Bridgman Method using a PbO-based nux. The obtained crystals were about 40 mm degrees x 30 mm in size and had a dark yellowish blown color. The properties of these single crystals grown by the Bridgman process satisfied requirements for array-type transducers in echocardiographys, a type of medical diagnostic equipment. This confirms that the Bridgman method is a useful means of growing large crystals of PZN-PT 91/9 for mass production.
