(Chemical Presented) Gas encapsulation: Several cyclopropane or butane molecules are reversibly bound in self-assembled, hydrogen-bonded capsules under ambient conditions (see picture). A stable arrangement results when approximately 40% of the space is occupied. The gas pressures in these complexes have been calculated, and are shown to deviate from ideal gas behavior as a result of CH-π interactions with the capsule walls. © 2008 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
