Seventy Mabs against human glycophorins (GP) and band 3 were tested with red blood cells (RBCs) of various non-human primates, from anthropoid apes to monkeys. Differences among Mabs reactivity in tests with non-human primate RBCs reflect the complexity of the immune reactions to human GPs and provide insights into aspects of evolution and a tool to epitope may.
