A study of CdS/CdTe thin film solar cells using beam injection techniques

摘要
Electron and optical beam induced current (EBIC, OBIC) techniques have been applied to the study of thin film polycrystalline CdS/CdTe photovoltaic devices which have undergone different post deposition treatments (e.g. CdCl2 and heat treatment). The use of front wall, cross section and back wall geometries for the injection of carriers proves very useful in understanding the effects of the post deposition treatments and also demonstrates the relative merits of the various beam injection techniques at characterising thin film devices.
