摘要
Acute spines and cones of calcite similar to biominerals in mollusks were grown in an aqueous solution system containing low- and high-molecular-weight poly(acrylic acid). The tapering morphologies consisting of polymer-mediated calcite bricks with a preferred crystallographic orientation were produced by the self-organized crystal growth in a diffusion field.
