摘要:
The world's first 27 T resistive magnet was delivered 22 June 1994 at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Tallahassee, FL. The magnet consists of three concentric axially cooled Bitter stacks connected in series electrically and consumes 13.5 MW of power. The warm bore has a diameter of 32 mm. The magnet has now accumulated over 1200 h of operation. A 30 T resistive magnet is under construction and more and higher field resistive magnets are being developed employing the ''poly-Bitter'' concept.
