摘要
We describe the preparation method of a new ferrofluid in which the stabilizing agent (the oleic acid) is partially replaced with silicon oil PDMS or PMFS. For the obtained probes we study: the density, magnetic susceptibility and viscosity. The studies show that the magnetic susceptibility is a monotonically decreasing function of silicon oil concentration. The density increases slowly as well as the viscosity as a function of silicon oil concentration. The distinction with respect to the ferrofluid based on oleic acid stabilization consists in the behavior of the viscosity in a magnetic field. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
