摘要：

The Interagency Registry for Mechanically Assisted Circulatory Support (INTERMACS) database, funded by the United States National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), is a registry for patients who receive durable United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved mechanical circulatory Support devices (see the Appendix for the list of approved devices) for the treatment of advanced heart failure. This first report will briefly review the background of INTERMACS and report the data analysis for the first 18 months of data collection.
