Mass spectrometric investigations on the carbothermal reduction of titanium dioxide

摘要
In this study, the carbothermic reduction of TiO2 mixed with three types of carbon (carbon black, active carbon, and a graphite) was monitored directly by TG under flowing helium with a heating rate of 10K min-1. To identify gaseous reaction products, experiments were carried out with coupled TG and MS devices.
