A Green's function for T-stresses in an edge-cracked rectangular plate

摘要
The T-stress term in an edge-cracked rectangular plate or bar is evaluated on the basis of boundary-collocation results. A Green's function will be proposed which is obtained by the direct adjustment of an appropriate set-up to the reference loading case of pure tension, and a closed-form approximation will be provided. As an example of application the T-stress for a parabolic thermal stress distribution is determined. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
