Enhanced photochemistry of 2-aminopyridine adsorbed on silver colloid surfaces

摘要
The surface photoreactivity of 2-aminopyridine adsorbed on silver colloid surfaces was studied by following the time evolution of the SERS spectra of its photoproducts with laser irradiation time in a flow cell. 2-Aminopyridine adsorbed on aged colloids was found to adsorb flat on the silver surface and readily underwent photo-decomposition. The molecules adsorbed on freshly made colloid were found to adsorb 'standing up' on the surface and did not photoreact.
