New near-infrared-absorbing acidochromic dyes and their application in sensor techniques

摘要
New stable acidochromic near-infrared absorbing dyes are described, which are useful for the design of optodes. The dyes belong to the classes of 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-benzopyrylium salts, 9-[3-(pyranylidene)-propenyl]-7-diethylamino-1-benzopyrylium salts, 9-[3-(thiopyranylidene)- and 9-[3-(1-benzopyranylidene)-propenyl]-acridinium salts, and 9-(4-diallrylaminostyryl)-acridinium salts. Apparent pK(a) values in water/2-propanol mixtures are in the range 1 less than or similar to PK less than or similar to 8. Absorption maxima of the long-wavelength absorbing forms span the region from 600 to 900 nm.
