Experimental study of ultrasonic velocity in dispersive media

摘要
The results of an experimental study of the velocity of ultrasonic waves propagating at a 3 MHz frequency in suspensions of glass spheres in water are presented for a wide range of concentrations. It is shown that, from the variations in the concentration coefficient of the velocity of ultrasonic waves, one can extract information on the structural rearrangements in the suspension and, in the range of low concentrations, information on the elastic moduli of individual microparticles.
