Transparent YAG from powder prepared by homogeneous precipitation reaction-Al(NO3)3+Y(NO3)3+(NH4)2SO4+CO(NH2)2

摘要
A YAG powder with narrow size distribution (0.5 to 3 micron) was directly formed without much grinding avoiding the contamination that can result from the grinding media by the homogeous precipitation reaction followed by calcinations at 1300°C. It was possible to sinter the powder after compaction to transparent YAG at 1700°C.
