摘要
An innovative method to determine the surface charge of quantum dots (QD) by coupling fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) with microchip electrophoresis was investigated. It was shown that the surface charge of QDs was remarkably closely associated with the type of stabilizer on the QD surface, the buffer value, and other factors. It was suggested that the technique can be extended to measure various fluorescent compounds from small molecules to nanoparticles. It was found that the technique can be used to investigate donor-receptor interactions, bioconjugation, and drug steering in colloidal chemistry.
