Synthesis of Supported Single-Crystalline Organic Nanowires by Physical Vapor Deposition

摘要
A method for preparing supported organic semiconductor nanowires using a vapor transport deposition process was reported. This method produced high-density supported porphyrin and phthalocyanine nanowire films on flat substrates coated by a thin silver oxide layer. It was observed that sequential synthesis of nanowires on the same substrate produced an open core@shell heterostructure. Various porphyrin and phthalocyanine molecules for the deposition of organic semiconductor nanowires and open core@shell heterostructure were also investigated. It was found that nanowires prepared from oxidized Ag/Xi surface followed a rectangular shape footprint with a regular cross section over the length of the wires. The proposed method can be used to fabricate new heterostructured nanowires by tuning the molecules arriving to the surface during the nanowire growth.
