摘要：

Riedels thyroiditis is a rare chronic infiammatory disorder characterised by extensive fibrosis of the thyroid gland and sometimes the surrounding tissues. The report a case of Riedels Thyroiditis in a middle aged female presenting with goitre. stridor anti dyspnoea. She initially responded to corticosteroid treatment and subsequently to tamoxifen. The rationale,for these treatments are discussed.
