:
The oxidation of triphenylphosphine to the corresponding oxide in pyridine is faster in the presence of Fe-III compounds, especially FeCl3. Even greater effects are seen for the oxidation of trimethyl phosphite. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
