The determination of chlorogenic acid in cigarettes by inhibited chemiluminescence analysis

摘要
A new chemiluminescence method has been developed for the determination of chlorogenic acid by using the inhibition by chlorogenic acid of the chemiluminescence reaction of luminol-potassium hexacyanoferrate(lll). The method is simple, convenient and sensitive with a detection limit of 5.2 x 10(-9) g/ml. It is applicable to the determination of chlorogenic acid in the range 1 x 10(-8)-1 x 10(-5) g/ml. The method has been successfully applied to determine chlorogenic acid in cigarettes. Furthermore, the inhibition mechanism was also discussed in this paper. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
