A technique for the application of high pressure conditions to reactions carried out in supercritical carbon dioxide is reported. The effect of high pressure and the conditions for the formation of dimethyl carbonate from carbon dioxide by three routes has been examined. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
