摘要：

The office management of the patient with recalcitrant sinusitis is challenging. It has become evident that a complex interplay between inflammatory and infectious pathophysiologic mechanisms is involved in chronic rhinosinusitis. This article reviews the current understanding of these mechanisms and how these new discoveries may lead to novel therapies.
