Electrical conductivity of Ni-Zn-Gd ferrites

摘要
The electrical conductivity of polycrystalline gadolinium substituted mixed nickel-zinc ferrite was investigated from room temperature to well beyond the Curie temperature. Plots of log(sigmaT) vs. 10(3)/T show a transition near Curie temperature. The activation energy in the ferromagnetic region is, in general, less than that in the paramagnetic region. An attempt is made to explain the conduction mechanism in these ferrites. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V, All rights reserved.
