Chemically n-doped parasexiphenyl: A model compound of polyparaphenylene studied by ESR

摘要
Pure parasexiphenyl has been chemically n-doped with organometallic compounds such as biphenyl and naphtyl sodium or potassium in THF. A doping level of 0.58 alkali per sexiphenyl is achieved. An electron spin resonance study of this material addresses the question of the charge storage in this material. Preliminary structural investigations are reported.
