摘要
The aim of this paper is to present the results of a numerical study related to the problem of heavy particle transport in a turbulent boundary layer The turbulent dispersion of heavy particles is considered in view of the fluid turbulence description in an inhomogeneous turbulence. The numerical simulations focusing on the mean, relative and turbulent particle velocity are performed by a Lagrangian model including also the forces acting on heavy particles displacing in a horizontal boundary layer (cf a previous paper of the same authors, 1998) and are validated against the experimental results reported recently by Taniere et al. (C) Academie des sciences/Elsevier Paris.
