General analysis of fibre grating structures

摘要
A development of the method of lines for calculating the parameters and field distribution of modes in optical fibre gratings and general periodic fibre structures is proposed. The advantage of the algorithm is that it permits relatively fast calculation of the fibre grating with an arbitrary large number (thousands) of grating periods. The influence of the various grating parameters on its reflectivity function is analysed.
