Adsorption of heptanol, heptanoic acid, and heptanoate anions at water-air interfaces

摘要
The surface tensions of heptanoic acid and n-heptanol aqueous solutions were measured at 20 degrees C at different pH. The obtained results indicate that preferably the nondissociated form of acid is adsorbed at the water-air interface. Adsorption of heptanoate anions occurs at much higher concentrations, and they are adsorbed less closely. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
