摘要：

This review summarizes recent research into quality of life in depression. Depression has significant effects on quality of life, comparable to chronic medical disorders, but adequate treatment is associated with a significant impact on quality of life. This review focuses on the conceptual and assessment problems, the rationale for assessing quality of life in depression and the influence of the treatment of depressed patients upon quality of life.
