Crystal-field splitting and the on-site Coulomb energy of LaxSr1-xTiO3 from resonant soft-x-ray emission spectroscopy

摘要
Resonant soft-x-ray emission spectroscopy was measured on LaxSr1-xTiO3 (x = 0, 0.05, 0.10) in the Ti 2p energy region. At the Raman scattering of the e(g) resonance, the d-d transition whose Raman shift has an energy value of about 2.3 eV corresponds to the crystal-field splitting. On the other hand, at the t(2g) resonance, the d-d transition whose Raman shift is about 2.2 eV is thought to be the transition reflecting half intra-atomic Coulomb energy. [S0163-1829(99)01232-1].
