Numerical analysis of noise and interparticle interaction in perpendicular magnetic recording media

摘要
The influence of both magnetostatic and exchange interactions have been examined by simulation on medium noise characteristics. In perpendicular magnetic recording, zig zag transitions have never been observed though magnetization clusters were produced in the bit center. In longitudinal recording, noise power was increased according to the increase of the saturation magnetization in spite of the absence of exchange coupling because of the strong magnetostatic interaction.
